This is for any parent/guardian with a child eligible for kindergarten in the 2022-2023 school year:
In light of the pandemic and to ease burden on families, the Pottsville Area School District will be utilizing an online registration format for the incoming 2022-2023 kindergarten class. All required documents will be uploaded through the online registration process. Please register your child as soon as possible to help us plan for the upcoming school year.

**Proof of age - (birth certificate, baptismal certificate, hospital record, etc.)
Your child MUST be five (5) years old on or before September 1, 2022.
**Immunizations - State law requires that before children may enter kindergarten, they need the following immunizations. Only a physician’s copy of the immunization record is acceptable:

4 doses of Polio (IPV) - 4th dose must be after age 4
3 doses of Hepatitis B
2 doses of Measles, 2 doses of Mumps, and 2 doses Rubella.
(This group of immunizations are usually given as MMR)
2 doses of Varicella (chickenpox) vaccine or documented history of the disease
If there is any medical reason why your child should not be fully immunized, please bring a certificate from your physician stating the reason.
**3 Proofs of Residency - one of which needs to be a lease agreement, mortgage sales contract or local tax document (other examples for the remaining 2 proofs of residency: utility bill, driver’s license, paystub, bank statement, government assistance letter etc.)

This is an exciting time for families and school staff.
