Pottsville Youth Soccer Association serves a Development Youth Soccer Organization, focused on skill and game development for our Soccer players. PYSA is formed with two different Leagues an In House Intramural League for ages 3-7 and a County League who participates in the Schuylkill County Youth Association for ages 7-15.
This year PYSA had a total of 34 teams, 20 in house teams within three age brackets 3&4 year olds, 5&6 year old and a 7 year old division. County League had 14 total teams in four 4 gender specific divisions. 3 9U Boys teams, 3 9U Girls teams, 3 11u Boys Teams, 2 11U Girls teams, 1 each 13U boys and girls team, and a 15U co ed team. PYSA had over 400 players registered for the 2023 season.
Practices start the second week in July, and the Season concludes the last week of October, with playoffs ending the first week of November. Each team typically practices 2 times a week during the summer, with some reducing to one once school starts. Both Inhouse and County games begin in August and each team typically plays one game a week on the weekend.
