Emergency Action Plan
An emergency action plan (EAP) provides guidelines and templates for documentation of emergency planning to help prepare individuals for a catastrophic injury situation within sports. A specific EAP for every athletic site at Pottsville Area School District has been developed. Before the start of each season, the athletic training staff will go over the emergency action plan with all important personnel (coaches, game managers, event staff).
In the event that any athlete is in serious need of emergency care, the Emergency Action Plan should be activated. During an emergency, all staff members should know their responsibility, and act accordingly. The following steps is a guideline for activating the Emergency Action Plan.
