Pottsville Area School District participates in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. One menu breakfast is served each morning. All cafeterias serve a featured hot lunch, sandwich lunch and Chef's salad lunch daily. The Pottsville Area High School has a Soup and Salad Bar. All school meals served must meet patterns established by the United States Department of Agriculture.
Pottsville Area School District will be implementing a new provision known as the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) in 2024-2025 school year. This program is available to schools and districts that are participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs.
All enrolled students of Pottsville Area School District are eligible to receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch each school day at no charge to your household.
No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without paying a fee or submitting an application.
The cafeteria will offer ala carte items and snacks for purchase when the student’s meal account reflects a positive balance. The snacks comply with the USDA Smart Snack rules, which require all grains to be whole grain rich and limits calories, sodium, and fat. If a parents/guardian would prefer their child be restricted from purchasing snacks or extras, please contact the Food Service Director.D.H.H. Lengel MS $2.15 $3.15
Adult prices are set by the PDE.
Payments into your student's meal account can be made using one of the following methods:
1. Send a payment to school with your student in an envelope marked with your student’s name, homeroom teacher and student number. Payments can be made by cash, check or money order. Checks should be made payable to: Pottsville Area School District Cafeteria.
2. Make an electronic payment using www.schoolpay.com. There is a small fee charged each time you make an electronic payment. You must create a parent account prior to adding funds to your student account.
