Staff members attempt to meet children's individual needs in language arts, science, social studies and math. The elementary center also provides weekly art, instrumental music, vocal music, physical education and library classes taught by subject area specialists. Additional academic support is provided by reading specialists, instructional support teachers, remedial math teachers and instructional aides. In addition to the regular education programs, six learning support classes and a gifted program compliment and reinforce the curriculum of all grade levels. We address the social and emotional needs of our students by offering the services of a full time school psychologist and nurse.A self-paced computer math program is used by each third and fourth grader in his/her classroom for ten minutes each day. A self-paced reading program is used by each second, third, and fourth grader in his/her classroom for fifteen minutes each day.
